"What can we look forward to in a 21st-century percussion concert? How is this kind of music evolving in today's world, and what other fields does it collaborate with? Is all the music pre-written, or can they create music on the spot?"

Rubén Castillo del Pozo is muzikant en performer gespecialiseerd in percussie, gevestigd in Den Haag, Laak. Zijn werk als percussionist is erg divers van oude muziek, klassiek orkest tot vrije improvisatie en wereldmuziek.
Hij heeft o.a. gewerkt bij Het Residentie Orkest, CubanEuropeanOrchestra/CuE, Slagwerk den Haag, De Doelen Ensemble, De Veenfabriek, Asko/Schönberg.

Ruben is sinds 2022 verbonden aan Laaktheater als gastprogrammeur:
" Laaktheater is theater made for the neighbourhood, Since I am part of Laak, I wanted to present a hint of the work I do internationally on a side of The Hague where that kind of programming is not very common to be seen, so the Laak audience won't have to go out of their comfort zone (they just go to their neighbourhood theater, close by home) and eventually would encourage other -nieuw- artist to present their work @ Laaktheater".
