Een tafel, vier muzikanten en een publiek dat niet lang stil blijft zitten. Gerardo Rosales presenteert Roda de Salsa: een swingend concert waarbij je niet alleen komt luisteren, maar vanzelf onderdeel wordt van de muziek.
De muzikanten spelen rondom een tafel, terwijl het publiek eromheen zingt, danst en meedoet. Het idee komt uit Brazilië, waar deze vorm bekendstaat als Roda de Samba. Voor het eerst krijgt het Nederlandse publiek de kans om deze bijzondere ervaring mee te maken – met een flinke dosis salsa.
De muziek reist door Colombia, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Venezuela en Brazilië. Verwacht conga's, bongo's, maracas en güiro, aangevuld met zang en… cassettebandjes. Ja, echt: Gerardo neemt zijn cassettes mee en laat ze onderdeel worden van de muziek.

The musicians play around a table while the audience gathers around to sing, dance, and join in. The concept originates in Brazil, where this format is known as *Roda de Samba*. Now, for the first time, Dutch audiences have the chance to experience this unique event—infused with a generous dose of salsa.
The music takes you on a journey through Colombia, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, and Brazil. Expect congas, bongos, maracas, and *güiro*, complemented by vocals and... cassette tapes. Yes, really: Gerardo brings his cassettes along and incorporates them into the music.
It promises to be an evening filled with rhythm, musical interplay, and spontaneous moments. Whether you sing, dance, or simply sit back and listen, Roda de Salsa places you right in the heart of the music.
